Suzie Q
Hey I'm Suzie Q.
My pole journey started in 2014 coming out of a DV relationship. I wanted to find me, I wanted to find self-love and wanted to feel empowered. Turning up to my first pole class I was super nervous, but I had something to prove to myself. Wearing the biggest shorts and the baggiest t-shirt I instantly feel in love!
Over the years pole has given me a confidence I never knew I had and it's my mission to pass this on. I thrive on seeing people succeed and find their own self-love. Although I started pole first, trapeze scratched an itch I never knew I had, it allows me to release myself in a whole different way! I hope to empower other people to do the same which is why I love teaching!
Qualifications:
By day Iโm a civil servant, travelling the southeast, pretending to fix IT and do H&S stuff. Apparently, I do this wellโฆ? I live for my fur ones, Indiana Banana Rama (mini sausage) and Theo the Lion (Pomeranian). They light up my life.
I love to be creative, and crocheting is my thing. Making something out of wool is just super therapeutic until you give me a patternโฆโฆ I like to do it my own way ๐
I love to dance and normally you will find me in my 8-inch heels, getting down and dirty! I have competed in both solo and doubles pole competitions over the years such as:
- Lucy Pole
- Pole Theatre
- Authentics
- Exotic Generation
- YFA
- Peppermint
Recently I have taken a shine to trapeze too as it brings out my elegant sideโฆ. Well, it tries too at least. One of my biggest achievements was performing in a local circus and competing in my first trapeze competition this year. I hope to continue this journey as far as itย willย takeย me!
